Eric Epstein


Eric brings over twenty years experience in private equity and leveraged finance including almost ten years with Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. Eric also worked at the Cerberus private equity group and invested in distressed bank debt and high yield bonds and in the private equity and M&A advisory areas of The Blackstone Group. He has acted as an advisor to and evaluated investment opportunities with a number of investment firms including: Marlin Equity Partners, New Evolution Ventures, and Steel Partners.  Mr. Epstein graduated from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and received his M.B.A. from the Anderson Business School at UCLA.

Chris Higgins


Chris over thirty years experience in corporate financing; private equity, buy/sell transactions, originating, structuring, executing, and managing leveraged finance transactions;  including senior & mezzanine debt financing , syndicated loans, subordinated debt, and advisory services for middle market companies. Chris Higgins was formerly a Managing Director at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors a $26 billion hedge fund and was primarily responsible for sourcing transactions for the Middle Market Credit and Growth Private Equity strategies. Mr. Higgins career started at Security Pacific National Bank in 1982 and he was Senior Vice President of syndicated loans, subordinated debt, leveraged buyouts, and mezzanine funds.  Mr. Higgins was involved in the acquisition of Security Pacific Bank by Bank of America in 1992 and left the bank to be a founding partner of U.S. Capital Partners.  Mr. Higgins graduated with a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California.

Steve Zubkoff


Mr. Zubkoff is a private equity professional specializing in the development and financing of sustainable communities in the U.S., Mexico, Latin and Central America and Africa Investment Mr. Zubkoff has advised and financed $10 billion in real estate and start up technology company transactions.  Projects include: Green Tech Innovator; Green Sandwich Technologies, Porteon Electric Vehicles, Habitat for Humanity, Jimmy Carter Work Project and Loreto Bay Resorts.  Mr. Zubkoff attended Dartmouth University.

Hal Berger


Hal brings over twenty five years experience in middle-market companies, strategic consulting, investment banking & international Fortune 500 environments. 

Hal has advised on 40+ advisory consulting engagements representing several billion dollars in transaction value.  Hal’s investment banking career evolved as an entrepreneur building startup ventures and selling the companies to private equity funds & public companies. 

Prior to MCG Hal was Director of Strategic Consulting at Pac Star Partners, a spin-off firm of DeloitteTouche Tohmatsu’s Corporate Finance Group. 

Mr. Berger graduated from the business school at Penn 

State University and Harvard Business School private equity program.
